Mother of Boy killed by Nigerian Army in Eke-Ukwu market in Owerri cry profusely as PDP visits


Photos have emerged of the mother of a 9-year-old boy killed by soldiers at the Eke-Ukwu market on Saturday crying profusely at the untimely loss of her only son when a delegation of the PDP visited her in the family home.
Sympathizers tried in vain console the woman who grieved at her lose. The Imo state chapter of the Barrister Charles Ezekwem led Peoples Democratic Party; PDP paid her a condolence visit after the Saturday unfortunate killings.

The delegation led by the Secretary Imo PDP, Hon. Ray Emena.  The late Somtochukwu Ibeanusi, the only son of the Isaiah Ibeanusi family was shot dead during a forceful demolition of the market despite a court order restraining the government from going ahead with the demolition exercise.

The PDP delegation expressed bitterness, pains and sadness at the murder of their only son. The father and mother of the deceased wept uncontrollably.

The PDP later visited Chief Leonard Osuji, Ebubeagu of Owerri who was also shot in the leg by the soldiers where they sympathized with him and thanked God that he survived.

Other members of the delegation includes
Hon. Ebere Chukwuemeka (State ex-officio), Hon. Eze Oguamanam (Owerri Municipal PDP Secretary), Mr. Onyewuchi Anoyue (Ward Chairman, Azuzi Ward 1) and Comr. Stephen Njemanze (PDP Chairman, Ikenegbu Ward 1).

They later proceeded to some hospitals in the capital where several traders and civilians who were shot by the soldiers were hospitalized. They took care of the hospital bills of the victims.
